Elevate Your Brand: The Power of Versatile Photos

I recently had the pleasure of working with Consummate Athlete, an incredible platform dedicated to helping busy adults achieve their cycling goals while maintaining long-term health and happiness through movement. The focus of our shoot? Creating images for their social media, website, and an exciting new podcast cover photo.

This shoot was all about versatility. The photos needed to work across multiple platforms, conveying the energy, expertise, and passion behind Consummate Athlete. And as I worked through this session, it got me thinking about all the ways you can (and should) use brand photos to market your business.

10 Different Places to Use Your Brand Photos

1. **Website:** Your home base for all things brand-related. Showcase who you are, what you do, and why clients should choose you.

2. **Social Media:** Engage your audience with eye-catching images that tell your brand’s story across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

3. **Email Marketing:** Elevate your newsletters with photos that grab attention and enhance your message.

4. **Blog Posts:** Complement your written content with relevant, high-quality images that keep readers engaged.

5. **Press Kits:** Make a strong impression with media outlets by including polished photos in your press materials.

6. **Online Ads:** Drive clicks with striking visuals that highlight your brand’s unique offerings.

7. **Brochures & Flyers:** Bring your print materials to life with images that reflect your brand’s personality.

8. **Business Cards:** Make a memorable first impression by incorporating a brand image into your card design.

9. **Client Presentations:** Enhance your presentations with professional photos that resonate with your audience.

10. **Podcast Cover Photos:** And last but not least, create a compelling cover photo that sets the tone for your podcast.

The Power of the Podcast Cover Photo

We often think about our website and social media when it comes to using brand photos, but one area I’m particularly excited about lately is the podcast cover photo. This image is arguably one of the most important pieces of visual content for your brand. Why? Because it’s the first thing potential listeners see when they’re scrolling through thousands of podcasts.

Think of it as your podcast’s version of a CD cover. It’s that one image that has to say it all – who you are, what you’re about, and why someone should click “play.” In a sea of podcasts (there are currently over 4 million podcasts out there!), your cover photo needs to stand out. It should define the vibe of your podcast, whether it’s energetic, calming, informative, or fun, and give potential listeners a clear idea of what they can expect.

For Consummate Athlete’s new podcast cover, we focused on creating an image that encapsulated their mission – empowering busy adults to achieve their cycling goals while promoting health and happiness. The cover needed to be dynamic yet approachable, professional yet relatable. It’s more than just a photo; it’s the face of their podcast.

Final Thoughts

As you think about your brand’s visual strategy, don’t just stop at your website and social media. Consider all the different ways your photos can work for you, especially in areas that might not be as obvious, like a podcast cover photo. The right image can not only attract attention but also communicate your brand’s story in a powerful, memorable way.

So, are you ready to make your brand photos work harder for you? Let’s create something that truly reflects who you are and where you’re going.

With creativity and purpose,

Elevating Emily & Sarah’s Social Media Agency: The Magic of a Luxury Branding Photoshoot

Hey, fabulous readers! Today, I’m beyond excited to share the behind-the-scenes of an incredible branding session with two powerhouse best friends turned social media agency owners, Emily and Sarah. These dynamic ladies have been shaking up the industry with their expertise, serving high-end businesses with flair. But like the old saying goes, “The shoemaker’s family has no shoes,” and they felt their own content wasn’t quite aligning with their goals.

Enter our transformative photoshoot session – complete with iced coffees (a must for these two)! Our mission? To elevate their online presence to reflect the luxury and maturity their brand deserves, not just for their social media but for their website and the upcoming launch of their new course.

The Strategy: Luxury in the Details

The magic lies in the details, those tiny, often unnoticed elements that collectively create a powerful impression. Did you know it takes less than 10 seconds for someone to form a first impression? We wanted to ensure that every detail conveyed luxury and sophistication, speaking volumes about Emily and Sarah’s brand.

Here’s a sneak peek into how we nailed it:

1. **Location & Setting:**

We chose a white minimalist and modern studio space to serve as a clean, chic canvas. This neutral backdrop allowed the focus to remain on Emily and Sarah, highlighting their professionalism and the sophistication of their brand.

2. **Wardrobe & Accessories:**

Keeping the clothing in neutral tones was key. It created a cohesive look that matched their brand’s aesthetic. To up the luxury factor, we incorporated high-end handbags, freshly done neutral-toned nails, and blowouts. Classic jewelry added just the right amount of understated elegance.

3. **Makeup & Props:**

Makeup was kept natural to avoid any distractions – no bright lips here! Each prop was carefully curated to fit the desired look, ensuring everything in the frame aligned with the brand’s upscale vibe.

Planning for the Future

One major takeaway from this session? **Plan for the future! Plan for growth!** Just as Emily and Sarah are preparing for their upcoming course launch, your brand should always have an eye on the future. Capturing content that not only fits your current needs but also aligns with where you’re headed is crucial.

Pro Tips for Your Brand Session

Want to nail your own branding session? Here’s a checklist to help you plan:

1. **Vision Clarity:** Define what sets your brand apart. What’s your mission and who are you speaking to?

2. **Diverse Content:** Capture a range of activities and services you offer, as well as future goals.

3. **Location Love:** Choose a setting that resonates with your brand’s message and aesthetic.

4. **Wardrobe Wizardry:** Plan outfits that are both comfortable and reflective of your brand’s personality.

5. **Props with Purpose:** Select props that enhance your story without overwhelming the frame.

6. **Color Coordination:** Stick to a color palette that aligns with your brand for a consistent look.

7. **Future-Proofing:** Think ahead – what’s next for your brand and how can you visually represent that?

Emily and Sarah’s session was not just about capturing the present but also envisioning and portraying their bright future. Remember, your branding session is more than a series of photos – it’s a visual narrative of who you are and where you’re headed.

Stay tuned for more inspiring stories and actionable insights to help you elevate your brand’s visual storytelling. Let’s capture your essence and dreams, one shot at a time! 📸✨

Empowerment and Family: A Day at Highland Estates with Caitlin

Hey there! Today, I'm thrilled to take you behind the scenes of a truly remarkable photoshoot at Highland Estates, where creativity, empowerment, and family all came together in a beautiful tapestry of moments. 📸✨

Meet the incredible Caitlin, the visionary behind Highland Estates, a captivating glamping, retreat, and wedding venue that's nothing short of enchanting. But that's not all – Caitlin wears multiple hats, including the creative force behind "Creativ by Caitlin." Her story is even more inspiring as she navigates life with early-onset Parkinson's disease, dedicating her time to advocate for women facing similar challenges.

This isn't my first rodeo with Caitlin; we've teamed up before on other projects that left us excited for more creative ventures. And this time, we ventured to Highland Estates to craft content for an upcoming offer tailored to women living with Parkinson's. What an honor to be a part of Caitlin's impactful journey!

As a successful entrepreneur, Caitlin understands that family lies at the heart of every endeavor. She's not just a business dynamo; she's also a devoted mom and wife. It's that family connection that often ignites the spark for our entrepreneurial aspirations, the 'why' behind every goal and dream.

During our session, Caitlin's ingenious idea came to life – we split the time between capturing family portraits and her brand's essence. It was a chance to stretch my creative muscles, and boy, did it pay off. From candid family laughter to the vibrant energy she brings to her business, every frame captured Caitlin's unwavering spirit and love for life.

When family and entrepreneurship intertwine, you get a true glimpse into the essence of someone's journey. As you peruse the gallery of images from our Highland Estates adventure, you'll witness the fusion of family values, advocacy, and creative entrepreneurship. It's a reminder that our 'why' fuels our drive to make the world a better place.

Stay tuned for more captivating stories and visual journeys. Until then, may your days be filled with purpose, creativity, and the warmth of family love. 💫📸

Capturing Authenticity: Naomi's Brand Photography Story

Hey there, fabulous readers! Get ready to dive into an exciting photoshoot session featuring the incredible Naomi – a coach, trainer, and public speaker ! Naomi's all about helping CEOs step into their true selves and become the leader’s they were designed to be. 📸🌟

Guess where the action went down? The stunning Georgian Bay, just a stone's throw from Naomi's digs! Choosing a spot she adores added a big splash of meaning to the shots – we're talking a whole lot of cool vibes! Honestly, South Georgian Bay is one of my favourite locations too!

Now, here's the scoop: Even the most accomplished individuals sometimes feel camera-shy or unsure of their photogenic potential. And guess what? Naomi was no exception. But fear not, because I'm about to spill the beans on some insider tips to make your photos reflect the true essence of you!

1. Love Your Location: The choice of location is key. Think of it as your canvas, a place that speaks volumes about you and your brand. Your setting should resonate with your personality and vibe. If it's a place you love, you'll naturally feel more relaxed and authentic.

2. Power Up with Props: Props can be super handy to help you get comfortable and add a touch of personality. They're especially great for the initial shots when camera jitters might sneak up on you. Think about items that reflect your brand's essence or your personal style. From a laptop to a cool coffee cup, props add flair and a touch of YOU to the frames, and give your hands something to do!

3. Set the Mood: Music sets the mood like nothing else. Bring along your favourite tunes that evoke the emotions you want to convey. And if you're in a natural setting like Georgian Bay, let the soothing sounds of nature be your soundtrack.

4. Connect with Your Photographer: Trust is your secret weapon. When your photographer feels like a friend, it's a game-changer. You'll relax into poses, letting your true essence shine through effortlessly. When you feel like you're collaborating with a friend, those awkward poses turn into a fun adventure. Now don’t forget communication is key – share your vision, brand vibe, and even your fears. A skilled photographer will work their magic to capture your best side.

Embracing the Elements: Mary's “Glowing Bliss SUP Yoga” Photoshoot

Hey there! Let's dive right into an amazing photoshoot with the incredible Mary from Glowing Bliss Yoga! She traveled all the way from Hamilton to South Georgian Bay for a SUP yoga photoshoot, and boy, did we have a blast! I was so honoured that she would trust me so much to come all the way here.

Now, we all know how weather forecasts can be, right? But being the fearless duo we are, Mary and I decided to embrace the unexpected and roll with it. And guess what? It turned out absolutely magical! We were blessed with a perfect evening, graced with dramatic skies, glowy light, and tranquil waters that beckoned us to hop on those paddle boards! Georgian Bay's weather might not play by the rules, but we love its unpredictable charm!

We kicked off the shoot with stunning solo shots of Mary, ensuring she had loads of content for her followers, and we updated both her contact and about me pages on her website, giving her online presence a fresh and authentic touch. Mary, beamed with grace and confidence as we captured her in action.

The beach and the water were our playgrounds, and we reveled in the magic of the moment. As Mary moved with elegance and serenity, I couldn't help but admire the beauty of her practice against the stunning backdrop of Georgian Bay.

But we didn't stop there! Mary's personal branding content was next on the agenda. We captured her love for intention cards, the soothing aroma of essential oils, and her tranquil moments by the fire, sipping her favourite tea. These authentic touches perfectly showcased her personality and her genuine connection to her craft. It was all about showcasing her true self!

We all had a quick outfit change (myself included) as we headed deeper into the waters for our SUP Yoga class. It was an absolute blast, to get fully submerged while photographing (combining my two loves, the water and photography).

But let's not forget the true MVPs of the session, our incredible class models, who willingly held challenging planks and down dogs for longer than anyone should, all in the name of getting the perfect shot! Their dedication paid off, and we captured moments of strength and unity, celebrating the joy of SUP yoga as a collective experience.

As the sun set, we wrapped up with an epic group yoga session on the beach. Picture a rainbow of yoga mats and smiles as wide as the horizon – it was pure bliss!

Now, as you're reading this, I can't help but wonder: What elements of nature invigorate your soul and inspire your journey towards wellness and success? Share your thoughts below, and let's embark on this incredible wellness journey together.

Stay tuned for more awe-inspiring photoshoot stories and valuable business insights in our next blog post. Until then, remember to embrace life's unpredictability and find beauty in every moment.

Love, laughter and happily ever after. Add in a dash of ring bearer cuteness, the most amazing array of eats (were talking a gelato truck, a popcorn bar, late night charcuterie and the Bea Bar!) Love, laughter and happily ever after. Add in a dash of ring bearer cuteness, the most amazing array of eats (were talking a gelato truck, a popcorn bar, late night charcuterie and the Bea Bar!) I mean what else could a bride ask for…. oh wait thats right, the most supportive friends and family filled with love, all on your in-laws property, landscaped specially for your big day.

Tasha and Andrews wedding was a dream, and before I left I couldn’t help but submit an application for adoption, because this family was pure love and couple happy tears. These two welcomed me with open arms and made it so easy to be a part of their day, and I am so thrilled I had the honour and privilege to photograph it for them.

I honestly love when a bride and groom takes a moment for a first look together. Its intimate, its meaningful and its all theirs! Wedding days can be so crazy busy, but this little moment together allows you to remember exactly what the day is all about. Your love. And I think Tasha and Andrew did just that, as they stole many moments away together, just soaking in the moment with little pockets of time throughout the day! And I got to capture it all.

Also can we just take a quick moment to fan girl over how gorgeous Tasha’s lavender theme turned out!

Tasha and Andrew said I do, but they wanted to remember it all, including the people there with them. They requested a photo with their guest behind them so even years later they can soak in the magic of being surrounded by all their loved ones as they begin their biggest and best adventure. Just another little way they took the day from not just beautiful but oh so meaningful.

And just like that, they were husband and wife!

The love of the party….

…the life of the party…

and dont forget… the wedding party!

Andrew! You have such a special relationship with your mom. She has such a big heart of gold, and it seriously got me right in the feels capturing this one. (so there’s no way I could leave it out of the blog post!)

A Hustler, like you, Since the beginning

Listen, I was never that friend in high school that walked everywhere with their camera. In fact at that point, I loved being in front of the camera not behind it! I didn’t even own my own DSLR until my second year of university. Yet, here I am today, loving photography more than anything. (Okay, maybe not everything, God and Josh and my family all come first… but I promise it’s up there!) However, the friend I was in high school was the one with a “brilliant idea” I just had to share AND a chronic side hustler! I was hustling side gigs before it was cool.

Young Victoria Mae In School Uniform

It might be hard to believe, but that little face right there… LOVED coming up with business ideas, marketing ideas, and even owned my own “black market” company “Pink Ice” where I sold hair tattoos and lipglosses at a profit to the girls in my class! I also created a lucrative “Pom Pom Pets” toy company where I kid you not… stuck googley eyes to pompoms and sold them, again to my class mates. Fast forward a few years I opened my own event planning company… when I was 11! (it successfully ran for 5 full years). But heres the thing, my favourite part of these businesses was always the ideas, the something new, and that showed not just in my own “companies” but when I worked for others. I always tried to understand their brand, their target market, and events and promotions that would have the best ROI. I loved it, and I loved seeing other peoples passions and ideas come to life, just as much as I loved seeing my own.

I am an incurable extrovert, and I adore people! Even more I love entrepreneurs! When I see someones face light up from a project their proud of, or their eye get a twinkle as they describe what they do… my heart skips a beat and I am READY to help them take action! Im addicted to the sound and look of passion like its a drug! I found my passion and permanent hustle in photography… because it helps me be around others who are just like me. Filled with ideas they want to bring to life, ready to show up doing what they love, and I just want to make that happen!
So thats why I’m here, doing what I do. Thats why in all the genres of photography out there… I just love this one. Because I get to help YOU be the best YOU doing what only YOU can do! Let’s just say… this ones really about you.

xoxo
Victoria Mae
